CONSERVATION OF FUNGI DIVERSITY IN THE NATURAL HABITATS OF ROMANIA

C. T─éNASE, ADRIANA POP

Abstract: The fungi diversity conservation is not a particular objective in Romania; it takes part of the general frame of the natural habitat protection. The European Council for Fungi Conservation has started the setting of a list with fungi species that are candidates for the Bern Convention. In this list are included 33 species of macromycetes that are found in Europe, from which 11 species are found in Romania. We appreciate as very rare the species Bovista paludosa, Hapalopilus croceus, Leucopaxillus compactus and Phylloporus pelletieri, for which only two stations are mentioned and for Hygrophorus purpurascens only one station is mentioned.
Key words: fungi, diversity, conservation, habitats, Romania.
