Abstract: The present paper discusses some structural and physiological aspects concerning foliar lamina in Heracleum sphondylium L. Foliar lamina has a bifacial heterofacial structure with normal dorsi-ventrality, its surface being covered with a striated cuticle with a specific arrangement, orientation and density of streak-likes. The presence of some, very reduced, deposition of epicuticular wax was observed. The analysed physiological parameters of hydric behaviour (water content, intensity of transpiration and hydric deficit of saturation) evidence specific variations, as determined by the phenophase.
Key words: foliar lamina, histo-anatomical observations, micro-morphology of foliar surfaces, physiological parameters of hydric behaviour.
