MARIA BUTNARU, ANGELA PAVEL, RAMONA SADICI

Abstract: The paper on discussion represents a comparative histo-anatomical study of the following genera: Chelidonium, Glaucium and Eschscholtzia at the level of the root and stem. The presented researches will be the basis of a complex cytogenetically and biochemical study of the genres from the Papaveraceae family.  The histo-anatomical researches had as a purpose both characterisation of the structure of the main vegetative organs that contain active principles at the Chelidonium majus L., Glaucium flavum and Eschscholtzia californica Cham. species, and the emphasis of the common and individual features of above mentioned species.
Key words: Papaveraceae family, root, stem, histo-anatomical structure, wood, phloem, bundles, parenchyma, cambia.
